Taking A Break

Sorry for the long pauses between posts. We are taking a blogging break as we vacation, move, get used to having a new brother, start school and figure out the new flow of our lives. We hope to be back soon.

Watching the Inauguration

We were watching the inauguration of Barack Obama who is the President of the United States now. We were so excited that Barack Obama won. We think he is going to be a good president. Our friends Katy and Brian are there in Washington DC. They watched the inauguration there. Me and Ellie wish we could be there with Katy and Brian.
We colored American star pictures and we are wearing our red, white and blue clothes to celebrate. Here are some pictures from our morning.

My New Brother, by Payton Rush

I like my baby brother. He's so cute. I like it when he looks at me. And I like looking at him. Yesterday he was in his pajamas and he was sitting in the bouncy seat and he spit up. I cleaned it up with the rag all by myself. I like to help him.
He was so cute at the hospital. My mommy made me a special shirt that said "BIG BRO". I like to wear that shirt but I don't wear it a lot.

My New Brother, by Ellie Rush

This is my baby brother Shiloh. I am the big sister. I have been a little sister to Payton, but this is my first time being the big sister. I like it a lot. I like holding Shiloh because I love him. I comfort him when he's alone. When he's scared I comfort him too. I give him kisses and hugs when he goes to bed. He looks kind of like Payton and me. He has blue eyes and kind of green eyes. And one time when he was crying he fell right asleep. It was funny. It is good to have a little brother.

Election 2008

Last night we colored our American maps. Barack Obama states we color blue and John McCain states we color red. Washington voted for Barack Obama so we colored it blue. When a state comes up we need to color it for who they voted for. Each state has votes and Obama needed 270 votes to win. We added up the votes when we colored in the states so we could keep track of who was winning.

You have to be 18 years old to vote. When we turn 18 we are going to vote. We will be happy when we get to vote. We also colored pictures that said VOTE! and we hung them inside the windows of our car. They had to be on the inside so the rain would not get them wet. We were so happy this morning when we heard Barack Obama won. We cheered and yelled and jumped around. Our mommy told us that we should remember this forever.

Trick Or Treat!!!!

These are our Halloween costumes. We went trick or treating tonight. I am Frankenstein and I have green skin made from green makeup. I also have stitches on my face and hands. I like my costume because I can put makeup on. Frankenstein walks side to side. When he walks he puts his arms out. Frankenstein is not real. He is just a monster from a story. A doctor made him in the story.

This is my costume. We went trick or treating and people gave candy to us. We said "Trick or Treat!" We went house to house. When we were trick or treating, Grandma was at our house. I was a pink leopard and I had whiskers on my cheeks and a black nose.

Chalk Drawings

Payton:
There is a mountain and a rainbow, clouds and a sun, stars and a bus. The bus is taking school children to the mountain to learn how to rock climb.

Ellie:
My picture is a sunset and a flood. My sunset is blue, purple, white and yellow. There are cars and a hotel and a person making a silly face.

We like drawing with chalk. We are going to make another one. I'm going to make a zoo (Payton) and Ellie is going to make a barn and a farm. We hope you like our pictures.
Today is our Uncle Lenny's birthday. Happy Birthday! From, Payton and Ellie
